anye ’py evaṁ pratidvandvān
vāyv-agni-varuṇādayaḥ
sūdayām āsur asurān
mṛgān kesariṇo yathā

TRANSLATION

Vāyu, Agni, Varuṇa and other demigods began killing the demons who opposed them, just as lions kill deer in a forest.
