svānugrahāya samprāptaṁ
manvānau taṁ jagad-gurum
maithilaḥ śrutadevaś ca
pādayoḥ petatuḥ prabhoḥ

TRANSLATION

Both the King of Mithilā and Śrutadeva fell at the Lord’s feet, each thinking that the spiritual master of the universe had come there just to show him mercy.
