sannikarṣo ’tra martyānām
anādaraṇa-kāraṇam
gāṅgaṁ hitvā yathānyāmbhas
tatratyo yāti śuddhaye

TRANSLATION

In this world familiarity breeds contempt. For example, one who lives on the banks of the Ganges might travel to some other body of water to be purified.
