śālvaḥ śaures tu doḥ savyaṁ
sa-śārṅgaṁ śārṅga-dhanvanaḥ
bibheda nyapatad dhastāc
chārṅgam āsīt tad adbhutam

WORD BY WORD

TRANSLATION

Śālva then managed to strike Lord Kṛṣṇa’s left arm, which held His bow Śārṅga, and, amazingly, Śārṅga fell from His hand.
