tatra duryodhano mānī
parīto bhrātṛbhir nṛpa
kirīṭa-mālī nyaviśad
asi-hastaḥ kṣipan ruṣā

TRANSLATION

Proud Duryodhana, holding a sword in his hand and wearing a crown and necklace, angrily went into the palace in the company of his brothers, O King, insulting the doorkeepers as he entered.

PURPORT

Śrīla Prabhupāda writes that Duryodhana

“was always in an envious and angry mood, and therefore, on a slight provocation, he spoke sharply with the doorkeepers and became angry.”
