avadhyo ’yaṁ mamāpy eṣa
vairocani-suto ’suraḥ
prahrādāya varo datto
na vadhyo me tavānvayaḥ

WORD BY WORD

TRANSLATION

I will not kill this demonic son of Vairocani, for I gave Prahlāda Mahārāja the benediction that I would not kill any of his descendants.
