satrājitaḥ kim akarod
brahman kṛṣṇasya kilbiṣaḥ
syamantakaḥ kutas tasya
kasmād dattā sutā hareḥ

 | Mahārāja Parīkṣit inquired: O brāhmaṇa, what did King Satrājit do to offend Lord Kṛṣṇa? Where did he get the Syamantaka jewel, and why did he give his daughter to the Supreme Lord?
