gadām āvidhya tarasā
pradyumnāya mahātmane
prakṣipya vyanadan nādaṁ
vajra-niṣpeṣa-niṣṭhuram

TRANSLATION

Śambara whirled his club swiftly about and then hurled it at the wise Pradyumna, producing a sound as sharp as a thunder crack.
