dṛṣṭvā bhrātṛ-vadhodyogaṁ
rukmiṇī bhaya-vihvalā
patitvā pādayor bhartur
uvāca karuṇaṁ satī

WORD BY WORD

TRANSLATION

Seeing Lord Kṛṣṇa ready to kill her brother, saintly Rukmiṇī was filled with alarm. She fell at her husband’s feet and piteously spoke as follows.
