āsādya devī-sadanaṁ
dhauta-pāda-karāmbujā
upaspṛśya śuciḥ śāntā
praviveśāmbikāntikam

TRANSLATION

Upon reaching the goddess’s temple, Rukmiṇī first washed her lotus feet and hands and then sipped water for purification. Thus sanctified and peaceful, she came into the presence of mother Ambikā.
