rāja-mañca upāviśat
maṇḍaleśvara-madhya-stho
hṛdayena vidūyatā

TRANSLATION

Surrounded by his ministers, Kaṁsa took his seat on the imperial dais. But even as he sat amidst his various provincial rulers, his heart trembled.
