kadācid yamunā-tīre
vatsāṁś cārayatoḥ svakaiḥ
vayasyaiḥ kṛṣṇa-balayor
jighāṁsur daitya āgamat

TRANSLATION

One day while Rāma and Kṛṣṇa, along with Their playmates, were tending the calves on the bank of the river Yamunā, another demon arrived there, desiring to kill Them.
