दुर्जया सा सुरैः सर्वैर्धृष्टिरूपो भवेद्विजः
रुद्रो येन कृतो वंशस्तस्य माया जगत्कथम्

durjayā sā suraiḥ sarvairdhr̥ṣṭirūpo bhavedvijaḥ
rudro yena kr̥to vaṁśastasya māyā jagatkatham

WORD BY WORD

durjayā — invincible; — she; suraiḥ — by the demigods; sarvaiḥ — all; yaṣṭi — of a stick; rūpaḥ — the form; bhavet — is; dvijaḥ — brāhmaṇa; rudraḥ — Śiva; yena — by whom; kr̥taḥ — done; vaṁśaḥ — flute; tasya — of Him; māyā — the illusory potency; jagat — the universe; katham — how?;

TRANSLATION

Even all the demigods cannot defeat the Lord’s Māyā potency. By the Lord’s Yogamāyā potency Brahmā became a stick and Śiva became a flute How did the Lord’s Māyā potency manifest the entire universe?
