Attack on ISKCON
<< 14 If he has problems, then what about us? >>

Unfortunately, a great disaster. Such a dear son of Śrīla Prabhupāda, such an empowered preacher. But a little mistake, and hah! - you've got a bloody cheek. So how careful we have to be! Sometimes devotees lose faith. "If he has problems, what about me?" No. The philosophy is, you know, just don't make the mistake.

Mistakes are not very mysterious, dhanaṁ janaṁ sundarīṁ. "I have no desire for wealth, I have no desire for opposite sex, I have no desire for fame and reputation.' It's just the basic mistakes. Prabhupāda said, many staunch, many great devotees have fallen victim to these things, dhanaṁ janaṁ sundarīṁ. So, "If they have fallen, how will I not fall?" Just don't make a mistake. Because many people have come from gross conditioned souls and become pure devotees, so it is possible to avoid the mistakes and become perfected. Mṛgāri, Vālmikī, Jāgai, Mādhāi.

But don't lose faith because a great devotee has problems. Accept that he has problems, accept that he has deviated, and don't try to concoct some philosophy that it is līlā, or that is some, you know, Kṛṣṇa's special mercy. Don't be foolish. See it as a mistake, and don't make the same mistake. When Junior Haridās fell down, what happened? All the devotees at that time, they were so... They became so sober. They would not even think of women, or men, in their minds, in dreams.

And it is a deviation, to criticize ISKCON. I would never even listen to that. How can his disciples even listen to criticism of that very movement he gave his life and soul for thirty years? How can he criticize Prabhupāda's movement? Then we're not qualified anymore, we're fallen.

Or he has made criticism of Śrīla Prabhupāda in his recent radio interview, "Prabhupāda made a mistake in creating these gurus and not giving them sufficient training." Or compromising in the regular principles... Of course, you've discussed those things for weeks here now, and you're probably bored of hearing about it. But you're my disciples, so I have to speak for one or two minutes, because it falls under the subject matter of this darśana, which is "Attacks on ISKCON."
